Blue Sky Investment Process

To us, opportunities are defined by the size of a market, the utility of a product, the scope of a company’s operations, and brand recognition. We believe that many investors today still rely on valuing methodologies that haven’t kept up with the growth momentum of the most innovative and disruptive companies. One of the best resources we have available to us is the fact that many of these companies are consumer-facing, meaning we often interact with and use their products or services every day, which helps form our understanding and conviction in them.

Risk Management

 

An important part of our active investment strategy is the ability to be responsive, which means that we remain flexible and open to change. Naturally, high-growth companies, be it today’s leaders, or the leaders of tomorrow, face an assortment of risks. While we can’t control the risks that those companies must contend with, we do have the ability to manage the risk with which our fund and the individual investments therein bear on our clients.

 

Our investment framework ensures we only invest in companies with a proven product or service, including companies that are generating revenue, and ideally, profitable or on-track to become profitable. Furthermore, we also closely align our position sizing to account for fund volatility and risk appetite, with specific thresholds and controls to manage risk. We also use a select range of derivative instruments to protect capital in the fund and to ensure that no opportunity is left on the table.

Research

We are innovators in mortgage secured lending.

We arrange mortgage secured term loans to borrowers that require funding for business or investment purposes, and offer great opportunities to investors, both wholesale and institutional, looking for attractive fixed interest investment returns through property secured lending.
